Here at Evidation, we’re committed to trust and transparency. We’ve always provided our community with a means to export data on Evidation.
We at Evidation believe that it’s important for you to have full control of the data that you choose to share with us. We take trust and transparency very seriously and want to make sure that you have full access to any information that you’ve shared with us. Starting today, we’ll maintain the original data export feature, but we’ll also provide you with a new, more granular way to see your data via the detailed data export feature. We’ll also be taking steps to show you different milestones that you’ve hit on Evidation in a clear, visual way.
How does this announcement impact my existing data export functionality?
You’ll still have access to the original data export feature on Evidation. Nothing will change about your ability to use this feature as a means to see your comprehensive activity on Evidation to date.
How can I request to delete my account? What will happen to my data after this request has been made?
You can request that we delete all of the data that we have collected that relates to you through our website. Remember - after deletion, your account and data cannot be downloaded or recovered (including any points you may have earned), so please think carefully before making the request!
What happens when I request an account deactivation and what’s the impact of my data?
Once your account is deactivated, your apps will no longer be connected with Evidation and you will stop earning points. However, your previous activity data, account information, and points will still be available on Evidation. If you would like to reactivate your account, please contact support (help@evidation.com). Once reactivating your account, all of your data will be available again. But you will need to reconnect all your apps again to track activities and earn points.
How can I request access to the data that I’ve submitted to Evidation and Evidation Studies?
You can use both the general data export feature and more detailed data export feature on Evidation to get a running summary of the various types of information that you’ve shared with the platform across app connections and survey completions. If you have participated in any sponsored research or other sponsored programs, we will escalate your request to the sponsor on whose behalf the data was collected.
What timeline will my request to access my data honor?
We will honor all requests within 45 days from the receipt of the request.
If I add a new app to Evidation, how does that activity tracking get logged in Evidation?
Nothing changes about the way your activity tracking gets logged on Evidation. Prior to connecting to a third-party health app that’s supported by our platform, you’ll have the opportunity to opt into including data from that app to your Evidation profile.
Do you sell my data: No, we do not sell your data. We focus on providing you with control over how your health data is used and we do not share your health data outside of Evidation without your permission. We offer members opportunities to contribute to studies and programs about health, and are able to fund participation and rewards by revenue collected from studies that members decide to participate in. You choose which apps you would like to connect and can even choose what activities on each app you would like to share. You have the opportunity to track your health progress from all of your apps in one place. If you choose to participate in a prospective research project, the specific information you decide to share will be disclosed in the informed consent for that particular project (each project may be different), or through the terms provided before you enroll in a program. The process of joining a study or programs and what you are sharing is always clear and transparent. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We're happy to help.
