Changes to the Google Fit Connection
Google recently updated how apps, like Evidation, connect to Google Fit. Because of this change, your activity data will no longer sync with Evidation without taking an action.
What this means for you:
- Your steps and other activity may not be tracked
- You may not be earning points for these activity types
What You Need to Do
Google Fit connections are no longer available on iOS and the Evidation website. To continue earning points for syncing your activity, you’ll need to connect a different activity source.
Option 1: Connect Apple Health (Recommended)
Apple Health is the easiest way to keep your activity syncing.
Steps:
- Open the Evidation app
- Go to the Apps page
- Select Apple Health
- Tap Connect
- Allow the requested permissions
Once connected, your activity will begin syncing automatically. Please note that Apple Health cannot be connected using the Evidation website.
Option 2: Connect Another Supported App or Device
You can also connect other supported apps or devices, such as: Fitbit, Garmin, Dexcom, MyFitnessPal, Oura, RunKeeper, Strava, Withings
To connect:
- Open the Evidation app
- Go to the Apps page
- Choose your preferred app
- Follow the connection steps
