How does Fitbit activity syncing work?
Your Fitbit activities may not be syncing with Evidation for a variety of reasons. An important thing to note is that Fitbit wearable devices do not connect directly to the Evidation app. Rather, the data is fetched from your Fitbit app and synced to your Evidation account.
Once your Fitbit wearable has been synced to your Fitbit app, Evidation will fetch your activity from your Fitbit app and reward you points for your tracked activities.
To ensure your activities sync with Evidation as accurately and quickly as possible, we ask that you sync your Fitbit wearable to the Fitbit App on your mobile device once a day and open the Evidation app. Doing this will help ensure that you earn points for all your activities. We will be unable to award points for activities that are over two weeks old and have not yet been synced with Evidation.
What can I do to ensure my Fitbit activities sync as quick as possible?
Give your activities 4 - 5 hours to sync.
Fitbit activity data syncing is not immediate, and will sync approximately every 4 -5 hours. If you do not see your activity data immediately, we encourage you to check back again in 24 hours.
Open your Fitbit and Evidation apps: Data will not sync from your Fitbit wearable to Evidation, only from your Fitbit app to Evidation. If you are missing data on Evidation, double check that your wearable device has successfully synced with your Fitbit app. Once the data has synced with your app, it still may take 4-5 hours for the data to sync with Evidation. Opening your Evidation app will also help in ensuring your activities sync quickly.
Ensure workouts have distance recorded: You will not receive points if a workout has no distance recorded (ex. treadmill, stationary bike, etc.). We reward 6 points for each manually recorded workout/exercise.
I’ve tried everything, but my Fitbit activities are still not syncing with Evidation?
In this case, we suggest disconnecting and reconnecting Fitbit from Evidation. Be sure that you are using the correct login information for your Fitbit account when reconnecting the app.
