Connecting your electronic health record (EHR) data with Evidation helps Evidation's researchers learn more about health, which can lead to better care for you and others.
When you make this choice, Evidation helps keep the power in your hands, that EHR data is protected, and that it is used responsibly and with your consent. We’ve made it simple to connect, disconnect, and adjust your settings at any time, if and when you decide to connect your EHR.
What does your EHR include?
Your EHR contains details about health care you’ve received, including:
- Diagnoses – Any conditions or illnesses you’ve been treated for
- Lab results – Blood tests, cholesterol levels, imaging results, and more
- Medications – Prescriptions you’ve been given, past and present
- Immunizations – Vaccines you’ve received
- Procedures – Surgeries or treatments you’ve had
- Clinical notes – Summaries written by your providers after visits
Each piece helps paint a clearer picture of your overall health.
How does EHR data help me?
Understanding your health isn’t always simple. By bringing together information from your EHR and your Evidation account (such as health apps, and activity data), Evidation helps you see a more complete view of your health.
When you connect your EHR with Evidation, you can unlock the power of your health record to:
- Get deeper insights about your health patterns over time
- Contribute to research that aims to improve care, treatments, and outcomes
- Join studies that align with your health history and interests
We recognize that your EHR is special. That’s why you’re eligible to receive points when you connect your EHR. It’s our way of thanking you for connecting—and for supporting research that makes a difference.
How does Evidation protect your privacy?
At Evidation, we take your privacy seriously. When you choose to connect your EHR data, here’s how we protect it:
- You stay in control. You decide if and when to connect your EHR, and you can disconnect anytime in your settings.
- We use it responsibly. If you connect your EHR, we use it to support the Evidation experience and the research you choose to join.
- We keep it secure. Like other information in your Evidation account, we use encryption and strict access controls to help safeguard EHR data.
- We de-identify data used in research. The data we let research partners access isn’t linked to your name or identity—unless you’ve clearly agreed otherwise.
